Tailgate with the Lee Bros!

Matt Lee and Ted Lee, along with representatives from the S.C. Department of Agriculture, will be setting up a tailgating tent 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the old Farmers Market site on Bluff Road. Look for the green and white tent behind Bojangles’ and stop in to sample some warm soups created from Certified S.C. Grown ingredients.
And don’t forget that the Lee Bros. are conducting a “Lee Brother Your Holiday” search for South Carolina’s favorite original holiday recipe that showcases at least one Certified S.C. Grown ingredient. You can submit one original recipe per day online at Holiday through Wednesday, Nov. 30 for a chance to have it printed and displayed in grocery stores across the state and to meet the Lee Bros and prepare a meal with them. Submissions will be accepted in these categories: entrees, sides, appetizers, desserts and baked goods. Matt and Ted will pick the finalists. More information at

We’re cranking on The Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen in the run-up to the photo shoot for the book, working overtime to get everything done. Just came across these Charleston shout-outs on The Daily Beast from star-chef Jamie Bissonnette of Coppa and Toro in Boston, which put some wind in our sails…
